Looking good and healthy.

It was a busy day at the allotment, as we had quite a number of different tasks to carry out. The    most important of which, included supporting the broad beans with bamboo canes; digging out the trench for the potatoes (again); and replanting onion sets where they had failed to grow.               All the vegetables are looking in good condition, considering the recent weather.

We had one particular thing to do at the allotment  today: that was to turn the soil and create a trench, for the potatoes we intend to plant in the next two weeks. The soil itself is very rich-there is a lot of manure tilled into it.  

General...

Allotment today: we had to use the wheelbarrow, to transfer a pile of manure, into the newly constructed grow beds-thanks Southwark Council! It was quite tiring work.

It's frustrating, but I constantly keep running out of credit and cannot afford to top up and people do not ring me. Why?

Significant dates this year; my birthday and I hope to have a party and would like to invite some friends, including Kiearra.                             

Get there week...

We didn't get to the allotment today, 1. some major repair work to the grow beds is taking place and 2. we had to prepare lettuce and pepper seeds for planting. Once they develop, we will pot them up and put them in the greenhouse. Hopefully, we will get there next week. 

Allotment plants

Most of the allotment session involved discussing  what plants and varieties we could grow this year.  We focused on tomatoes and it's surprising how may varieties there are, with regard to size, colour and shape. Anyway, it gives Sarah an idea of what to buy...this will be an ongoing conversation for many weeks.                

My phone

Where is my phone charger? Life becomes complicated when you place so much reliance on something, which then is going to stop working , because it's going to run out of power. Particularly, as I'm waiting for a friend to call me. What's going on? Fortunately...I found it.    

Tuesday

Unfortunately, we did'nt get to the allotment today. The ground would have been too hard, to be able to do anything useful.

However, I am excited about my new, replacement sunglasses. Buy what you can afford...
